These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the services and facilities of Inclusive Lodging LLC d/b/a Soul Fam Hostel (“we,” “our,” or “us”). By making a reservation or staying with us, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms.

1. Definitions

  • "Guest" refers to the individual making the booking and/or staying at the hostel.
  • ​"Hostel" refers to Inclusive Lodging LLC d/b/a Soul Fam Hostel. 

2. Reservations and Payments

2.1 Booking:

  • Reservations can be made online through our website, by phone, or in person​
  • A valid credit or debit card is required to secure your booking.

2.2 Payment:

  • Full payment is required 48 hours prior to check-in unless otherwise specified.
  • Prices are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR) and include VAT unless otherwise stated.
  • We accept major credit cards and debit cards.
  • We do not accept cash.

2.3 Confirmation:

  • A booking confirmation will be sent to the email address provided at the time of reservation.

3. Cancellations and Refunds

3.1 Cancellation Policy:

  • Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the check-in date are free of charge.
  • Cancellations made within 48 hours of the check-in date will be charged for the first night’s stay.

3.2 No-Shows:

  • No-shows will be charged the full amount of the reservation.

3.3 Refunds:

  • Refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 7 business days.

4. Check-in and Check-out

  • Check-in time is from 3:00 PM.
  • Guests must present a valid government-issued ID and the credit or debit card used for booking.
  • Check-out time is by 11:00 AM.
  • Early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability and may incur additional charges.

5. House Rules

5.1 Behavior:

  • Guests are expected to behave in a respectful and considerate manner.
  • Any form of harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behavior is not tolerated.
  • Alcohol consumption is permitted in designated areas only.

5.2 Quiet Hours:

  • Guests must adhere to quiet hours between 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM, respecting other guests.
  • Guests must keep noise to a minimum during these hours.

5.3 Prohibited Items:

  • Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the hostel and permitted only in designated outdoor areas.
  • Illegal substances, weapons, and hazardous materials are strictly prohibited on the premises.

6. Liability and Damages

6.1 Guest Responsibility:

  • Guests use hostel facilities at their own risk.
  • Guests are responsible for any damage they cause to the property and may be charged accordingly.

6.2 Liability:

  • The hostel is not liable for any loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings.

7. Termination of Stay

  • The hostel reserves the right to terminate a guest’s stay without refund for behavior deemed inappropriate, disruptive, or in violation of these terms.

8. Privacy

  • The hostel complies with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
  • Personal information is collected and used only for booking purposes and will not be shared with third parties without consent.
  • By making a reservation, you consent to the collection and use of your personal information as described in our Privacy Policy.

9. Miscellaneous

9.1 Amendments:

  • We reserve the right to amend these Terms at any time. Any changes will be posted on our website.

9.2 Governing Law:

  • These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes will be resolved in South African courts.
